Thank You Card

I made this card for the Michael Strong's Yahoo group November challenge - a Thank You card.
This card is suitable for a woman or for a man, because of its elegant and calm color combo.
Ingredients:
Turquoise leather textured CS, its edges distressed for a Shabby Chic look
Shiny gold paper
Dark turquoise bubbles textured CS, cut into 2 separate pieces
Basic Grey patterned paper, Pyrus line, its edges distressed for a Shabby Chic look
Michael Strong's Cloisonné Cranes Stamp Set (small and large) - both cranes were stamped, heat embossed with turquoise EP and glued 3D for extra dimension
Turquoise blings in various sizes
Inside the card there's a turquoise CS, punched with Martha Stewart's Layered Arches edger punch, and the sentiment Thank You was written with a white gel pen in a special font called Dorly's hand writing :-)

Christmas Card #3 - Spirella In Blue

This card has two layers of leather textured CS on an aqua CS as its basis.
The red and aqua CS were trimmed straightly.
The paper with the trees covered with snow was cut from some commercial add, and its edges were distressed for a Shabby Chic look.
The spirella was hand cut from CS, and I used teal and light blue embroidery threads to weave it. It was glued 3D for extra dimension.
I added white snowflake shaped brads with glitter, to match the snow on the trees.
I hope you'll find it inspiring. Merry Christmas!

The teal CS was cut, while the edges of the red CS were distressed for a Shabby Chic look.
The light green CS was punched using Martha Stewart's Layered Arches edger punch.
I also used:
Basic Grey patterned paper – Jovial.
Michael Strong's Cloisonné Christmas Tree stamps (small and medium), stamped on teal CS and heat embossed with white EP, cut with nail scissors and glued 3D for extra dimension.
Clear and red blings, to add some Christmas glam.

Happy Hanukkah!

I've been invited to BoniBleaux Designs as a guest designer for November.
My mission was to create a Hanukkah card using the digital stamp Hanukkah Harry, newly released on November 15th.
So here's the card I made.

For the background papers I used:
Red CS
Leather textured green and red CS, their edges slightly distressed for a Shabby Chic look
Basic Grey Origins papers, punched with Martha Stewart's Quilted edger punch
I printed Hanukkah Harry digital stamp on white CS and colored it with pencils.
To make Harry's background look old (like Harry himself…) I used Ranger's distress ink: Vintage Photo, Scattered Straw and Old Paper, mixing the 3 colors with a dauber.
I printed the text "Happy Hanukkah" on white CS and distressed it like the stamp's background. I used a ticket punch and brads for the corners.
The red CS, with the colored stamp and the sentiment on it, was glued 3D for extra dimension.

And here's a closeup photo of the colored stamp:
(You can enlarge each photo by clicking on it)

The color combo may remind you of Christmas. Well, it's the holidays season, and there are many reasons to celebrate.
Hanukkah is a holiday of light (lighting candles for 8 days) and calories (eating donuts and latkes).
I wish you all a Happy Hanukkah, filled with joy and calorie light :-)

H is for..... - Hanukkah card for ABC Challenge (21.11.10) .

Transparent Mini Album - Flowers And Butterflies

This mini album was created out of a big transparent page (12x12) cut into 4 smaller pieces.
I've easily cut it with a knife, with scissors and with Sizzix dies.
Because it is transparent, I had to pay attention to what's showing on the other side of each page. I think it's challenging, don't you?
Yet I could use so many techniques, inks and 3D items, and that turned it into a fun project to play with.
It is very colorful and cheerful, and there's still some room left to add photos.
It came out rather chubby because of all the embellishments I put in - and I like it this way.
I hope the photos show its transparency and the way each page seems from both sides, through the layers.
There are quite a few of them, so sit back and enjoy…
You can enlarge each photo by clicking on it.

Ingredients:
transparent page (12x12) - for the pages
transparent page (12x12) - for the TH dies (flowers and flourishes), colored with
Stazon ink
Cuttlebug's embossing folder - Tiny Bubbles
Basic grey patterned paper - Pyrus, cut with SN through the Cuttlebug
Rub-ons, brads, clear and turquoise blings
Ribbons
Metal binding rings
Felt flowers
Silk flowers
Martha Stewart's Quilted edger punch
A turquoise paper rose I made myself, like the TH paper roses, distressed with Ranger's distress ink (Broken China) and lightly coated with Diamond Glaze for a shiny glazing
Michael Strong's Cloisonné Flower stamp (small), heat embossed with white EP (on light blue CS) and with baby blue EP (on black CS)
Michael Strong's Cloisonné Butterfly stamp (large), heat embossed with white EP (on white CS), once as it is and once coated with Diamond Glaze for a shiny glazing, both glued 3D for extra dimension.

Wedding Card

My eldest son who's going to a wedding asked me to make a card for him.
I made a simple yet elegant wedding card, in my favorite color combo - black, white and red.
I used several layers of textured CS.
The bride's dress was hand embossed with a stylus on Parchment paper and attached to the black CS with heart brads, then glued 3D for extra dimension.
I wish the young couple harmony and love.
